eBay raises currency conversion fees for sellers: US from October 14, UK from December 1

eBay is raising the fee it charges sellers when it converts funds between different currencies. The change was spotted on eBay’s official fee pages – eBay did not send any seller announcement about it.

United States and Canada: the currency conversion charge rises from 3% to 3.25% on October 14, 2026. It applies when eBay converts funds linked to items listed or sold on another eBay marketplace.

United Kingdom: the fee rises from 2.5% to 2.75% on December 1, 2026. Australia follows on November 1 (3% to 3.25%), and Germany, France, Italy and Spain on December 2 (3% to 3.25%).

This fee is separate from eBay’s final value fee and international transaction fee. Sellers who list or sell internationally should check their pricing to protect their margins.

Separately, eBay UK announced Royal Mail consumer postage price changes effective October 5, 2026. Sellers using eBay Labels will see updated parcel prices, with tracked services still priced favourably against untracked ones.
