eBay US: FCC ID now required for listings of radio-emitting devices

Sellers listing radio-emitting electronics on eBay US, such as drones, radios and other wireless devices, now need to add the device’s FCC ID. eBay’s Seller Center warns that listings missing the required FCC information may be blocked from being created, revised or republished — and can be hidden from US buyers.

This follows the US Federal Communications Commission’s FCC 26-50 final rule, which takes effect on October 13, 2026. Products on the FCC Covered List, including certain Chinese-made communications equipment, may also be restricted or prohibited from sale in the US.

For now, eBay only needs the FCC ID in the listing. Full point-of-sale display rules for marketplaces follow later: March 1, 2027 and June 1, 2027. Small sellers and sales of used devices are exempt.
