JD.com’s JoyBuy takes Northwest warehouse for UK ecommerce expansion
JD.com has secured its first dedicated warehouse hub in Northwest England for its UK ecommerce platform JoyBuy. The deal covers a 309,663 sq ft unit at the Omega Warrington mixed-use hub near Warrington, taken on a 10-year lease.
The new facility offers 292,108 sq ft of warehouse space with high 15m eaves, 22 dock doors, and a 50m-deep yard with 54 HGV parking spaces. It also includes 15,422 sq ft of two-storey offices and a separate transport hub. The building carries a BREEAM Excellent rating and EPC A.
JoyBuy is already recruiting for the site, with roles including inventory supervisors, operations managers, bulk delivery operators, and transport planners. The expansion strengthens JoyBuy’s same-day delivery network across the UK. The news was reported by Logistics Matters on 12 October 2026.
