New eBay sellers are reporting that their accounts are being permanently suspended within hours of listing their first items, with eBay giving no clear reason.
In one fresh report from a large Facebook seller community, a brand-new seller said their account was permanently suspended even though they had listed only 19 items, had no sales yet, and owed eBay nothing. When they called support, the agent said the reason could not be disclosed. In a separate report on the GetHuman customer issue page, another seller said their new store was suspended roughly one hour after opening — the first listing was an item copied from Amazon for dropshipping, and eBay gave no clear explanation.
The pattern suggests eBay's automated enforcement is flagging new accounts aggressively this month. Sellers planning new stores should warm accounts up slowly, verify identity fully before listing, and avoid dropship-style listings copied from other retailers.
