A new eBay seller has reported that their account was permanently suspended just minutes after posting a first listing. The seller opened a fresh account and put up one ad — a secondhand CARLSBRO multi-instrument guitar amplifier described as like new. Within minutes, an email arrived from eBay saying the account was permanently suspended because of activity that could put the eBay community at risk.
No specific rule or reason was named. The seller says the listing followed eBay's guidelines as far as they could tell, and the ban landed before any sale was even made. This matches a pattern we have been tracking this month: brand-new accounts that list a branded item as their very first listing are getting hit by instant automated bans with the same generic reason, and affected sellers get no clear explanation or appeal path.
